Round Diamond

Round diamonds are the most popular and the most brilliantly cut diamonds.

The round brilliant cut diamond is the most popular and the most brilliant of any of the diamond cuts.  The cut was first developed by Marcel Tolkowsky in 1919. Composed of 58 facets, the round brilliant cut diamonds was mathematically designed to produce the most refraction of light entering the diamond.

Princess Diamond

A classic and elegant shape with sharp corners that offers a more modern appeal.

The Princess cut is a modified square cut with 90° right angles in each corner.  The Princess cut usually is a perfect square cut but sometimes can be a little longer in one direction.  The brilliance of a Princess cut usually reveals itself in the corners rather than the center like a Round Brilliant cut.

Oval Diamond

A perfect mesh of brilliance from the Round Brilliant cut and the feminitity of the Pear cut.

The oval cut diamond is a combination of the Round Brilliant and Pear cuts.  An oval diamond offers a bigger table than the round cut diamond and is often used in engagement rings to bring an elongated look with near brilliance of the Brilliant Round cut.

Asscher Diamond

A perfect choice for a vintage feel.  The Asscher cut creates timless jewelery.

The Asscher cut diamond is a more elegant vintage cut from other modified square cuts.  The step cuts featured in the Asscher cut creates a mirror effect offering a very different optical scintillation from other diamonds. The Asscher cut is an excellent choice for anybody looking to incorporate a vintage look into their jewelry.

Cushion Diamond

A beautiful choice with larger facets enable the cushion to disperse more brilliance than other square cut diamonds.

The Cushion cut diamond is known for its brilliance and exquisite shape.  The cushion is a square cut with rounded corners that resemble a cushion. The larger facets of Cushion cut diamonds give off much more light dispersion than other similar cuts.  A cushion cut diamond will sparkle around the center and edges much more than the other square cut diamonds.

Emerald Diamond

The Emerald Cut diamond is known for it's long relections and deep beauty.

An Emerald Cut diamond is a great choice for couples that want a larger looking diamond per carat than other cut diamonds.  The hall of mirror effect in an Emerald Cut diamond creates an effect that differentiates itself from other diamond cuts.  The elongated side of an emerald cut along with the cut off corners make the Emerald Cut look much bigger than other cuts of similar carat weight.

When deciding on the clarity/color of your diamond we highly recommend you look at SI1 or better clarity diamonds.  The hall of mirrors effect of the Emerald Cut will make every inclusion look bigger and more pronounced making the Emerald Cut more ideal in very clean diamonds.

Heart Diamond

Ever

the romantic, the Heart Cut diamond will profess your everlasting love.

Nothing says "I love you" quite like a heart.  The Heart Cut diamond was created for the romantics in us.  A beautiful cut diamond in the shape of a heart will create a timeless ring, pendant, or earrings that will profess your love for your significant other.  The Heart Cut ranges in width and a good cut should be symmetrical with both sides of the heart appear balanced.  Due to the unique shape of the heart, they are best defined in larger sizes of 1 or 2 carats and above.

The 4 Cs

Diamond grades are split into 4 main sections

  • Color
  • Clarity
  • Cut
  • Carat
  • Color
  • Clarity
  • Cut
  • Carat

Diamond Color

The color of a diamond measures the color the diamond relects. For white diamonds, the yellowish tint is an undesirable characteristic and has a direct correlaction with the price of a diamond.

Diamond Clarity

The clarity of a diamond measures how many and what size imperfections are inside the diamond. Imperfections could be feathers, crystals, or pieces of carbon that appear inside a diamond during formation.

Diamond Cut

The cut of a diamond has a direct effect to how the diamond refracts light. A diamond cut will be exellent, very good, good, fair, or poor. We recommend when looking for a stone you stick to excellent to very good. The better a diamond is cut, the more it will look alive and give off the scintillation we all love.

Diamond Carat

The carat weight of a diamond measures the size of a diamond. The higher the carat weight the bigger the diamond. Bigger diamonds are more rare and therefor also have a direct corrlation with the price of a diamond.
